About

I created this blog in order for me to remember what I had been doing and what I had been able to write. I also would like to share what I had in mind as I recall the recent years in my life.

My first published novel during the year 2010 was Cupid's Trick. It was a story inspired from a Greek mythology (the story of Cupid and Psyche). It is a story of a woman who is good at matchmaking but bad at finding a man for herself. Not knowing that the reason why she was still single, despite meeting a lot of good-looking men, was because someone was manipulating her.

My second novel that was published was entitled First Kiss. I wrote this story during the time I was jobless. I was simply trying to figure out why a first kiss was so unforgettable for some people. It also lead me to write two novels that tackles another "first."

Unexpectedly, the next novel that was released in the market was Switch. I was worried that two of my novels will remain unpublished. And I thought I won't be able to write again. But I did write something. When I remembered the plot of one of my favorite book, I thought, maybe I should write a heroine who will do everything she can to have the hero she prefers to have in her life. No one ever said that it's wrong to court a guy, right? And so, I find myself writing and enjoying how my characters deal with each other.

I was already writing the first story of The Geeks Place when First Dance and First Love got published. It's weird to see some stories I've written almost two (or three) years ago and almost completely forgetting about the flow of those stories. Those two novels were the sequels to my novel First Kiss so the theme was almost the same: there's always a first but it's rare to have the first and be the last.

Cupid's Arrow came after that. No one requested me to do it. During that time I had been loving reading a bit about Greek myths and I've been enjoying challenging myself into thinking how I can create a contemporary romance out of it. Apollo's love story was a fun read and that was the result of it.

When The Geek's Place was released during the year 2011 I was worried. It was an odd concept for a Precious Hearts Romances imprint because most of the heroes in romantic novels were (and should be) sexy and handsome while the heroes in my four novels were geeks. But after awhile I realize Wren's Square-Headed Girlfriend is a cute story about a shy guy and a  hyper girl. Macky's Seagull Manager is a story about a boy who can easily be irritated forgetting that there's a thin line between love and hate. Rob's Starter Marriage is my first story about marriage and it was the kind of concept I am excited yet terrified to write. Lastly, Roarke's Schoolie tells the story about being an Alpha male or rather Alpha Geek. These four stories was unexpectedly recognize as a miniseries. Thankfully, a lot of people got interested with what I did.

A year later, The Nerds Area was published. Unlike the first miniseries, I knew what I'm supposed to do with my second batch. I wanted to intrigue the readers. Some people thought there's something wrong with my teasers. But most people were actually excited and I'm glad to know that most of them enjoyed guessing who's the writer Blake would end up falling in love with. Eury's The One was a fun story to write. It was inspired from two local authors who's so good with humor that they become popular with it. Penny's Prince Charming was inspired from a Filipina author who's so good in writing very sexy scenes and from my other favorite foreign author whom I just discovered last year. Caly's Mr. Right was inspired from an author who wish to write mysterious and unique novels. Ashly's Hero was inspired from a foreign writer who wrote for television and film and also from a foreign author who first made me fall in love with paranormal romance.

December 2012 was a memorable month and year for me for it was exactly on my birthday (my real birthday) that Cupid's Target was announced to be released. It was an unexpected present and a lot of people greeted me that day. I wrote that story because I was inspired with Hades and Persephone's love story. It was a semi-dark, semi-romantic story.

In 2013 I wrote a manga version of my first miniseries. I call it The Geeks Place Version 1.5 (but its actual title was Pop-Up Question) because the story happens years after my hero and heroine became a couple. I was attempting to answer the same question which Wren research through Google. My first manga was illustrated by Jeff Nice.

The Reading Room was released per week during the month of August 2013 to September 2013. All four books are now available. Blaire's story was in it. Actually, she and Conrad has few scenes on every book which I hope the readers enjoyed.

My second manga which was illustrated by Dexter Roxas came out during January 2014. It was a manga based on the classics Frankenstein (a book I only heard of but haven't read). It suited the imprint SHORTCUTS for Meeting Dr. Frank N. Stein was told in a concise manner. Then it was followed by the second edition copy of Anonymous which was published under Black Ink Novels. It's the very first paranormal love story I had written.

On May 2014, my first novel was reprinted and had a gold edition on the front cover. Cupid's Trick was back on the shelves and I hope new readers enjoyed reading it. Four months later, another manga I've written was published under SHORTCUTS. It's a story about an ostrich and a kid, and it isn't a happy story. Ossy is somehow an experiment for me and I thank Enjelia Villanueva for illustrating it.

It was October 2014 when Cupid's Aim was released. It's the last story in my so called The Chronicles of Cupid. Some readers says it's quite a dramatic story but I'll wait for other feedback just to be sure. It was also the story which I posted online (in my blog not in my wattpad account) and I've been worried because it's the first time I tried writing online.

Soon enough I had a new novel under a new imprint called Black Ink Novel (BIN). It's a paranormal romance released as of December 2014. It's also an experimental novel for me. While writing Anonymous I thought it could be publish for PHR Gothic Romance. Eventually, it had a different package. I also didn't expect readers to like it to the point that they would want a sequel. It also became the best seller during several months of the year 2015.

By July 2015 I manage to finish writing a very short story (this time it was posted in my wattpad and other online account) it's entitled The Man With Fifteen Questions. This serves as my fifth anniversary gift to myself and to those who wanted to read Conrad's thoughts. But during the year 2015 I have no new release book. I would like to call it my dead year.

Anyway, by January 2016 the sequel of my novel Anonymous was released. Androgynous is not about the characters most readers requested. So I know some read it, others might have ignored it.

Right now, I'm trying to write again.
